Every record, jacket and package sold on RPM Recs is graded for customers’ piece of mind. Not to be boastful, but take a look at how we grade them and you’ll know what we mean.

We are a source for not just brand new albums and singles but also second-hand records. We are well aware of the challenges that one might face when trying to purchase records online without the chance of personally inspecting their quality physically.

It is for this reason that we have devised a grading system for all our stocks to let an online buyer know of what is buying. For instance, if you have purchased a record whose grade says its brand new, then you can immediately file for a return and replace from us if there are any signs of tampering or pre-usage.

Similarly, all our second-hand records have been extensively tested before we put them up for sale. As such, the grading system shall let you know about the not just the quality of the records but also the sleeve and packaging beforehand.

That said, here is a break-down of the grading system for vinyls in stock with us, and their meaning.

N – Brand New, unopened

M – As good as new and in perfect condition, no marks or creases

M- – There might be slight marks seen on the sleeve but otherwise in pristine condition

SH – Slight creasing seen on the package with very light marks (1-3) on the record.

SH- – Scuff marks on the edge of the packaging with 4-7 marks on the record’s surface
